Benefits Update Webinar

This one-hour webinar addresses recent changes and current issues affecting benefits claimants and their advisers. It is aimed at staff and volunteers who have a working knowledge of the benefits system. It will be particularly useful to those who have been on previous training and are looking to extend their access to our advice service.

 

The webinar will include:

 

  • Recent guidance and legislation

  • Developments in case law

  • Strategies for problem areas 

  • Casework advice and coaching

 

The exact webinar content is subject to change and will be set approximately two weeks prior to the event, when a short survey will be sent out to all registrants to prioritise the benefits topics of most need and interest.

 

Methods of delivery

This webinar is delivered online in a discussion/Q&A format with three Benefits Training Co. trainers. 

 

Intended audience

This course is for staff and volunteers who have a working knowledge of the benefits system and require an update on recent changes and developments. 

 

What you will need

Participants will need a Wi-Fi connection and a suitable device to access the internet. Prior to the event, participants will be asked to complete a short survey and will be invited to rank a range of suggested topics in terms of what is most important in their role. Participants will also receive a zoom registration link and zoom meeting information which they should use to join the event.
