We deliver open and in-house welfare benefits training courses and consultancy to staff working in public, private and community organisations. We offer training on all areas of the benefits and tax credit system, including welfare reform. And all our courses include 12 months ongoing access to our expert advice.

The Benefits Training Company is an independent organisation led by benefits trainer and consultant, David Stickland.


David ​and the team have delivered over 2000 courses to the advice sector over the last 12 years and all our trainers are recognised as experts in their field. Together they design and deliver welfare benefits courses as well as offering consultancy for national programs including those of Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), Shelter, Citizens Advice and Advice UK as well as for many local authorities, housing associations, law firms, charities and others.
